Over the last couple of years, I have had the chance to travel quite a few times. When I went to Las Vegas during the summer of 2024, I got to walk through the hotels on The Strip like Caesars Palace, The Cosmopolitan, The Venetian, and more. I also walked through Red Rock Canyon, and it was really dry and hot, but so beautiful. What I really loved about the canyon was the scenic drive you take. It felt like I was in the Cars movie! I would definitely go back to Las Vegas because there is so much to do. They have the most luxurious settings, and it felt so nice to jump into the rooftop pool after walking around in the dry heat. New York was definitely my favorite city to visit. I went during December, so it was cold, but not so cold that we saw snow. In fact, right after we left, it finally snowed. I enjoyed taking the subway, walking through Central Park, and seeing all of the places I recognized from my favorite TV show, Gossip Girl. I know New York is a very popular setting for TV and movies, but Gossip Girl is the show that made me want to go to New York, and when I can afford it, I am definitely going to live there. I got to visit the Harry Potter store, it was the coolest ever! The other tourist spots I could not miss were:
Going to Mexico was for sure my most bittersweet moment. We specifically went into the city, which is where my family is from. I was reunited with my grandpa on this trip, and I could tell he was most excited to see me, given how he would not let me go. I had missed him so much. There was so much to see, do, and eat in the city. I think my favorite food that I ate was the pozole we had as soon as we left the airport. I got to meet my great-grandmother; she’s 97 years old, but so fierce! We visited the Basilica, which is a Catholic church. It’s most known for being featured in a popular Hispanic TV show I watched growing up called La Rosa de Guadalupe. The city was really packed, so we had a chance at peace and quiet when we went to Pachuca, another city in Mexico. This is where my godparents lived. We explored Real del Monte, which is known as a former mining site. This trip was also to accompany my grandma, who wanted to move back to her home. It was sad to say goodbye to my grandparents, but I plan on visiting again really soon.
